Rame Peninsula Beach Care

Rame Peninsula Beach Care is a charity based in the southwest working to maintain clean beaches as well as to monitor marine life and educate the public on current issues. With the collected litter, local artist create artwork out of it to prevent it going to landfill in addition to displaying it in public venues to get the message across to a wide audience, whilst the rest is disposed of and recycled correctly. I contacted the Charity via its Facebook group, expressing my interest in using my artwork to raise funds to support the work of the charity in, to getting involved with what they do and to put up their waste aware posters around Plymouth University

. This message progressed to having coffee with one of the directors of this charity, Claire. Her knowledge was incredible as she not only kept up to date with scientific research, but also had the practical and 'hands on' experience to compliment this.

I feel I have so much to learn from her. We made plans to visit Cawsands so she can give me a tour of where the charity works.
